A Show is Born. The Studio...Burnt Down.
The Shaft Sounds Off! is
the sketch comedy program presented by Ohio University's humor magazine,
The Shaft. Work on the radio show started in 1900, some one-hundred
years before the launch of the magazine that it bears the name of.
Luckily, the founders of the radio show guessed the right name. Unluckily
however, The Shaft Sounds Off!'s recording studios were destroyed
in a lunch accident that included a burrito, a tennis racket, and explosives.
